Jobs Plus

The Jobs Plus program provides residents at DeSoto Bass Courts and Hilltop Homes with job readiness services. The goal is to connect residents with higher-paying jobs, education, and financial literacy.

The grant-funded program offers life coaching, soft-skills training, career counseling, and related services. In addition, participants' earned income is disregarded. This means that any increase in income will not affect rental rates.

Since the inception of the program in April 2017, more than 189 residents have participated in the program. More than 44% are employed and more than 24 individuals have enrolled in or completed additional education.
